1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the services provided by CABA Dog Training and Behaviour ("we," "us," "our") to the client ("you," "your") for dog training services. By booking our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.
2. Services Provided
We offer a range of dog training services including, but not limited to, private 1-1 training, behaviour consultations, veterinary training, training walks, and puppy training. The scope of services and any special requests will be agreed upon during booking.
We use positive training methods based on current science and do not use methods such as corrections, alpha rolling, pinning, harsh punishment, or equipment designed to be aversive (including choke chains, slip leads, spray collars, corrector sprays, rattle cans, or e-collars). These methods are not to be used during the session; failure to comply may result in immediate cancellation without refund, and we reserve the right to terminate services.
3. Bookings and Payments
All bookings must be made in advance and confirmed by us. Payment for services is due at the time of the session. Payment cannot be deferred or paid at a later date.
Behaviour consultations require a veterinary referral prior to confirmation of booking.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance; otherwise, payment will still be due.
Sessions are booked for a set time; if the client is late, the session will finish at the booked time. If unreachable after 10 minutes, the trainer may leave, and payment will still be required.
We reserve the right to reschedule sessions to ensure high-quality service or due to circumstances beyond our control. In the event we cancel (e.g., illness/emergencies), we will attempt to reschedule or issue a refund if rescheduling is not possible.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for ensuring dogs are healthy, vaccinated, and insured, and that any known aggressive behaviour or health issues are disclosed prior to training.
We work with all breeds, including banned breeds, provided government guidelines are followed (insurance, neutering, muzzles).
Clients agree to follow training recommendations and work consistently with their dog between sessions. Dogs must be under control at all times unless instructed otherwise. Clients are responsible for ensuring a safe and suitable training environment.
6. Liability
While we strive for effective training, results may vary depending on the dog and client commitment. We do not guarantee specific outcomes.
You agree that CABA Dog Training and Behaviour will not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your dog’s behaviour, training, or implementation of techniques, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by us.
You assume full responsibility for your dog’s actions at all times.
We are insured by Pet Insurance Ltd. For further information, please contact us.
7. Dog Health and Safety
If your dog shows signs of illness or distress, we may refuse training or request rescheduling until the dog is healthy.
Children may be present during training at the discretion of the parent/carer. Parents/carers are responsible for the child’s safety. We accept no responsibility for children before, during, or after sessions.
By booking, you consent to your dog being handled and trained using our positive methods.
8. Aggressive or Dangerous Dogs
We may refuse to work with dogs that display aggressive or dangerous behaviour that puts staff, other animals, or clients at risk.
Clients must take recommended precautions, including muzzles where advised.
9. Media Release
By booking, you grant us permission to photograph or video your dog during training sessions for marketing or promotional purposes. If you do not consent to this, please inform us in writing before the session.
You may withdraw consent at any time in writing, and we will cease using your dog’s images from that point forward.
10. Confidentiality and Data Protection
All information shared during sessions, including methods and proprietary information, must be kept confidential.
Client data will be stored securely in compliance with UK data protection laws (GDPR).
11. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to terminate services if deemed in the best interest of the dog, client, or trainer. Refunds will be provided for any unused prepaid sessions.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
